The Role:
This role is responsible for the coordination of customer service activities, as well as managing inventory levels, coordinating imports, as well as overseeing domestic logistics. The role is a primary customer contact for operations and order execution matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage inventory levels to ensure efficient supply chain operations and product availability.
Coordinate the import of products from international markets, including preparing necessary documentation and liaising with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
Ensure POD process is in line with company’s process and risk mitigation objectives.
Coordinate warehouse dispatch activities to ensure high service level and company data accuracy.
Receive, process, arrange and confirm domestic delivery orders as received from the Trading team.
Liaising with logistics suppliers (warehouses, transport companies etc) to ensure pick-ups, deliveries and loading deadlines are met for all domestic deliveries.
Assist management, traders and finance with enquiries on the status of any document, delivery, invoice or other matter relating to domestic and distribution business.
Be the primary customer service point of contact for designated customers.
About you:
Minimum 3 years in a supply chain, logistics or customer service role.
Proven experience in inventory management and supply chain coordination, with a focus on imports.
Strong understanding of import logistics, including customs regulations, documentation, and clearance procedures.
Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Experience in dairy and/or meat industry is desirable but not essential.
Proficient with MS office and intermediate excel skills.
Meticulous attention to detail
Can-do attitude with Strong organisational skills
