New Vision Psychology is a busy private psychology practice looking for a highly reliable and compassionate Mandarin and English Speaking Customer Service and Clinical Admin Officer to join our head office in the CBD.
A key component of this position is providing exceptional customer service while managing high volumes of phone calls and complex enquiries. We are looking for someone who has had experience in a busy call centre or as a health receptionist.
The ideal candidate will have an interest in mental health, motivation to develop their understanding of our psychologists’ skillsets and therapies, and a desire to support our clients get the most out of their time with us.
This role includes:
- Being the first point of contact for our service; answering complex mental health service phone enquires
- Supporting clients by understanding their specific needs and matching them with the most suitable psychologist
- Understanding our psychologists' therapeutic styles to place clients with the right practitioners
- Taking patient bookings and scheduling appointments
- Liaising with psychologists, doctors and psychiatrists as required to facilitate referrals
- Providing support to our team of psychologists
- General administrative duties
Extensive training and ongoing guidance will be provided for this role.
Essential Criteria
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a busy call centre or in a medical reception role
- Ability to speak native level Mandarin and English (Cantonese preferred but not essential)
- Able to work on Saturdays (36 hours per week full-time or 28.5 hours per week Part-time)
- Exceptional communication skills and telephone customer service
- Proactive approach to workplace tasks, with the ability to work independently
- Multitasking skills, with the ability to handle high volumes of client enquiries and complex situations
- Highly attentive to detail, with excellent spelling and grammar skills
- Ability to work in a team environment, with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong typing and computer skills, with the ability to learn new systems
- Strong ability to follow procedures and instructions

New Vision Psychology has been around for 13 years, and we have solid training structures in place to ensure your success. You will be joining a dynamic and collaborative team of 6. You’ll work directly with our directors who are easily accessible and lead with compassion. We have low turnover rates and provide lots of support and autonomy. Hours: Either 36 hrs/week full-time Monday - Thursday 9am -5:30pm and Saturday 10:00am- 4:30pm (lunch 1:00-2:00) or permanent part time - Monday -Wednesdays and Saturdays (28.5 hours)
$70,000 plus Superannuation based on 36 hours and working 6 hours on Saturdays
