Customer Service Officer - Persolkelly
The Role

As a Visitor Services Officer at Australian War Memorial, your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and assessing visitors' needs and creating trust with visitors through open and interactive communication
- Providing support in managing large group bookings, including school visits
- Assisting with events and ceremonies such as ANZAC Day, Remembrance Day, and the Centenary of Armistice
- Following communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
- Perform light manual handling tasks as part of the Memorial's daily operations
Working within the Visitor Services Team, you will be the first point of contact for the visitors to the Memorial galleries. You will enjoy working as part of a team and have availability to work on weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
Desirable criteria for this role include:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proven customer service experience or experience as a client service representative
- Availability to attend full-day or half-day shifts, per the roster requirements
- Flexibility to attend last-minute shifts where requested
- Ability to display empathy and active listening in visitor interactions
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively
This role offers a great deal of flexibility, as shifts are rostered around your availability provided. Full training is provided onsite by the Australian War Memorial team. This position is great for someone looking for an exciting casual opportunity in a landmark organisation in Canberra.
