Our client is a successful, privately owned, and diversified FMCG building materials manufacturer.
Based at Loganholme on Brisbane’s southside, the company operates two factories and three Distribution Centres providing high volumes of palletised materials to the leading Hardware and Plumbing Supply retailers throughout Queensland. Following a major factory upgrade, the business is poised for a new stage of growth and expansion.
To enhance and expand their current level of service to their Trade Store customer base, they are seeking a talented Customer Service / Freight Co-ordinator to join their Customer Service Team.
The business has an excellent DIFOT delivery record with the major Hardware stores and wishes to build on that performance by offering a fast and flexible delivery service that caters for the smaller footprints used by specialised Plumbing, Timber and Hardware Stores.
Successful performance will be achieved by being nimble and imaginative, and collaborating with your colleagues to develop load combinations using trusted external and company-controlled transport operators.
Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the role will appeal to customer service representative who enjoys the satisfaction of being a key contributor, and part of a team, that collectively, delivers excellent service to an appreciative repeat customer base. In addition to the scheduling activities, you will also be facilitating order processing with your designated customer base.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills.
- Previous experience in an allocation or scheduler role with good keyboard skills.
- Ability to build rapport and relationships with clients and transport providers.
- Able and willing to adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced office environment
- A desire to work with and support other team members and celebrate shared success.
- Curious and creative thinker- to provide suggestions for improvement.
- Good geographical knowledge of Brisbane, the Gold, and Sunshine Coasts.
- Possess a genuine passion for customer service with a focus on providing quality outcomes and adding value.
You will be reporting to an energetic Customer Service and Logistics specialist who is passionate about the growth and the development of her people and provides ongoing training, mentoring and support to ensure their success. You will be joining a vibrant, and highly effective six-person logistics team.
