Leidos has been engaged by Defence to provide a leading cyber security capability for the environments that our deployed military personnel rely on. The team develops and delivers key cyber security services to directly support the Department’s mission. We are seeking highly motivated and appropriately experienced staff to help us deliver outstanding results. This role is an exciting opportunity to perform crucial high value work to support and protect our personnel in the Australian Defence Forces.

Our cyber engineering roles include support of the security function for our customer ensuring systems are available, appropriately maintained and secured. This role allows you to utilise your broad experience in a supportive team environment.
You will have the following responsibilities:
- Management and configuration of the security tooling our Deployed ADF personnel rely on;
- Perform troubleshooting in support of the ADF or our Security Operations Centre, such as why logs aren’t shipping from point A to point B;
- Assist with vulnerability management including config reviews and software versions;
- Assist with incident investigation including obtaining logs, reviewing firewall rules, etc;
- Assist with monitoring the network for changes that may affect cyber security;
- Be cross trained into supporting cyber security tools such as proxies, sandboxes, mail gateways, and end point security;
- Integration and functional testing; and
- Work with other teams to troubleshoot complex issues across multiple networks.

As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will bring your knowledge and expertise to support the team. You will be customer-focused, and enjoy working as part of a team.
We have a number of open roles from mid-level through to Senior. Our list of desired technologies is lengthy, however we don't expect you to bring all of the below to the table. We offer cross training across the entire tool suite for the right candidates.
You will have the following skills/knowledge:
- 3+ years in enterprise IT system administration;
- Knowledge of how a typical Enterprise IT system fits together
- Intermediate to advanced troubleshooting skills in complex networks
- Working knowledge in cybersecurity principles such as hardening standards and techniques
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Worked with SOC operational teams to support evidence gathering
- Working knowledge of operating systems such as Linux
- Working knowledge of:
