In this role, you will be supported to develop practical skills across a diverse range of Cyber Security processes and technology. A keen interest in Cyber Security is a great, however a passion for delivering quality outcomes is equally important given people are out strongest link.
Work type: Permanent, full-time
Classification: Band 5 ($76,355 - $86,617)
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing timely and accurate customer centric support, communicating effectively with stakeholders to convey technical concepts and resolution advice.
- Implementing, configuring, and maintaining a broad range of key Cyber Security controls and platforms, helping to monitor their effectiveness, and making recommendations for improvement.
- Contributing to information security compliance programs including audit and controls assessments, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Assisting with the development, implementation, and uplift of Cyber Security policies, standards, and procedures guided by regulatory requirements and industry better practice.
- Contributing to the delivery of effective Cyber Security training, awareness, and engagement initiatives.
- Collaborating with cross-functional security teams to address security events and incidents.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be studying towards (final year) or recently completed a tertiary qualification in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline.
Essential Experience:
- Demonstrated interest in Cyber Security.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
- A resilient mindset and passion for continuous learning and professional growth.
- A strong commitment to customer service with a passion for delivering quality outcomes.
- Ability to support, champion, and positively influence the success of Cyber Security changes across the City.
- Capable of demonstrating a degree of flexibility in working hours and locations based on business needs.
