SalaryAn excellent opportunity has become available for a Dairy Farm Feeder to join our family owned and operated large scale dairy operation located at Calivil, Victoria.This well established farming enterprise comprises of 2200 cows, milking year round in a 50 unit rotary dairy.Employment Specifics:As you will be working under the direction of the owner and feed manager, the successful applicant must have:-Genuine interest in the dairy industry - enjoys working with cows and outdoor environment
Dairy farming experience an advantage, but not essential
JCB/Mixer Wagon/Tractor experience an advantage, but not essential
Ability to work with the owner and other staff members - as well as independently
Self-starter who is highly motivated, efficient and committed / good time management skills
Excellent work and communication skills with attention to detail
Must hold a current drivers license and have their own reliable transport.Duties will include but not limited to:Feeding out using computerised TMR system in a self propelled mixer wagon.
Feeding of livestock
Freestall (mechanical) cleaning and bedding preparation.
