We have an opportunity for an individual to join our Information and Digital Services Team as Data Architect on a Full-time Fixed-term 18 month contract. Reporting to the Director, Information & Digital Services, the role is to develop the Data Architecture Framework, by implementing the Data Maturity roadmap and appropriate documentation to support the framework.
Duties and accountabilities include:
- Lead the development of IBAC's Data Architecture Framework in compliance with security and legislative requirements
- Implement the Data Maturity uplift program of works focusing on People/Organisation, Policy, Technology, Compliance, Measurement and Process & Practice
- Provide strategic and practical specialist guidance, advice and support to a diverse range of internal stakeholders
- Develop and manage documentation to support the data architecture framework including standards, policies and procedures
- Provide advice and recommendations for dashboards and reporting to provide oversight and performance information
- Leverage existing software products to enhance data integration and sharing
- Identify and document data holdings and sources both internal and external
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:
- Tertiary qualifications Data Architecture or Data Science
- Proven work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role
- In-depth understanding of database structure principles
- Experience gathering and analysing system requirements
- Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques
- Expertise in SQL
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI and R)
