Job Description:

As a Data DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the data infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with data engineers, software developers, and other cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouse solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming large volumes of data from diverse sources .
  • Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring of data applications and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to optimize data workflows and algorithms for performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible , or CloudFormation to automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP ).
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices for data storage, access controls, and encryption to protect sensitive information.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, DevOps, and cloud computing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, DevOps, or a related field .
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala .
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP .
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in cloud computing (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and data science concepts.
