Our eComm team is continuously growing and we’re going through a massive digital transformation . We're looking for a highly experience Azure focused Data engineer who will help deliver high-quality, leading-edge data driven solutions in a highly dynamic eCommerce environment and lead the department’s technological development to solve our exciting challenges. This team’s mission is to mobilise a high performing engineering team to help deliver a world class digital search platform, which helps power our website and mobile app today. Please note we are open to candidates from Sydney and Melbourne .
About the role
Reporting to the Digital Tech Lead, you will be joining a fast-paced team of other data developers, software developers, data engineers and data scientists and operate in a full agile environment building Azure data driven services, enabling data transfers, transformations for our critical search platform. As a digital data developer, you will use your engineering experience data solutions (APIs, ETL, transformation, data modelling (Kimbal), advanced SQL skills to enable the best customer experience through innovative data driven solutions.
About you and your skills
As the Digital data developer , you will work closely with the engineering team, data scientists & architects to understand existing digital search platform, interpret business requirements and design Azure native solutions (potentially GCP moving forward) for building data applications / services and deliver quality data focused software that meets the customer requirements.
Your skills
- Expert level knowledge of SQL DB & Datawarehouse
- Should be able to analyze and understand complex data
- BI experience - Power BI or Tableau
- Experience with Analysis Services
- Develop Azure Data Factory Objects - ADF pipeline, configuration, parameters, variables, Integration services runtime
- Hands-on knowledge of ADF activities, such as Copy, SP, lkp and DataFlows
- ADF data Ingestion and Integration with other services
- Experience in Big Data components such as Kafka, Spark SQL, Dataframes, HIVE DB etc implemented using Azure Data Bricks would be preferred.
- Azure Databricks integration with other services
- Read and write data in Azure Databricks
