You will be responsible for providing governance and consulting over organisational activity in the information and data space. As well as supporting the organisation’s application of the information management framework (most specifically, the data governance elements) to ensure that structured and unstructured data is used, managed and maintained correctly. You will make a difference by:

 

  • Supporting the Information Management team manage the entire data lifecycle including identifying data ownership, accountability and managing integrity, efficiency, availability, consistency, and usability of data and information
  • Supporting the organisation with application of the data operating model, data policies and standards
  • Identifying and prioritising data assets and developing standardised data management planning, oversight, reporting and control procedures
  • Ensuring accountable data use within set guidelines and driving data best practices, trends and thought leadership
  • Tracking and reporting on compliance to governance standards and processes across the organisation along with an assessment of data quality and data issues by domain
  • Partnering with Risk and Business or Technology Stakeholders to develop, implement and continually review and refine the organisation’s information governance policies and processes to promote good practice and maintain compliance with statutory obligations

 

A little bit about you

  • Tertiary qualification specialising in Data Governance or Information Management or equivalent industry experience
  • Proven information management experience
  • Experience in delivery or support of information and records solutions, associated risks and working in partnership with consultants
  • Solid understanding of Information Management fundamentals
  • Solid experience in Agile and Waterfall delivery
  • Good awareness of relevant Data Governance and Information Management obligations and legislation, policies and standards
  • Good social and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team
  • Good understanding of SDLC framework
