Digital, Technology and Data?

The purpose of Digital, Technology and Data is to design, build and maintain products, services and experiences that Australian's love and trust, while delivering a sustainable future for Australia Post. The key areas that Customer Experience and Digital Technology is responsible for include Customer Experience, Customer Services, Decipha, Identity and Financial Services, Digital Channels, Data Science, Data Commercialisation, Product Engineering and Platforms, as well as Technology.

Position Purpose:

The Enterprise Data Loss Prevention Specialist is a subject matter expert in the Technology organisation who is responsible for the operational delivery and continuous improvement of Data Loss Prevention platforms and processes.

The role will provide operational and analytical expertise to the business through the ongoing protection of Australia Post data, and to ensure adherence to contractual and regulatory obligations pertaining to data loss.

The role is also responsible administrating and maintaining the currency and accuracy of detection mechanisms to prevent data loss, and the ongoing education and awareness for Australia Post staff, contractors, and subsidiaries.

What we’re looking for

This role will contribute to operational excellence, cost and service efficiency, and continuous improvement via the use of common tools, frameworks, resources, practices, policies, partners, and platforms relating to Data Loss Prevention.

• Experience in successfully analysing; from complex technical issues through to detailed system log information
• Experience working with data loss prevention tools .
• Experience working with technology enterprise teams to enable cross-discipline solutions.
• Experience supporting change in a large, complex organisation.

What will I be doing in this role? 

• Analyse, triage, and investigated suspected and actual Data-Loss Prevention violations and potential mishandling of Protected data.
• Ensure protection of networks, systems, and applications by enforcement of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) security policy and through use of event analysis.
• Performing systems and network information analysis of data loss prevention incidents to the network, servers, workstations, and cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor DLP information security alerts and escalate as needed, coordinating with Information Security’s Cyber Defence team.
