Data Platform Engineer

Randstad Digital are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Data Platform Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving the design, implementation, and maturation of our client cloud-based data analytics infrastructure for key data-centric projects. Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

• Conduct data modeling on existing and emerging transactional and business intelligence data assets to inform data architecture decisions.
• Develop, implement, and review data-related infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
• Design, develop, and mature infrastructure to support hybrid data and analytics projects, integrating cloud and on-premises hosted services.
• Ensure the secure maintenance of data and code access to platform users on a daily basis.
• Collaborate as part of an application delivery team to drive the delivery of outcomes and achieve project success.
• Work under limited direction, taking accountability for planning, analysis, design, development, and delivery activities within tight timeframes

Necessary Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a data engineer, with expertise in Azure platform technologies.
• Experience with defining, developing, configuring, documenting, and maturing Microsoft cloud platforms including Data Factory, SQL Server, and Databricks.
• Proficiency in developing automated build and deployment pipelines using YAML, ARM templates, and PowerShell.
• Strong understanding of DevOps continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines.
• Coding experience in scripting languages such as Python, R, C Sharp/C++, or PowerShell.
• Excellent analytical problem-solving abilities with a focus on data modeling and data engineering.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Baseline clearance or ability to obtain one.
