The opportunity
QBE Insurance has the exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join the team in the role of Data Quality Manager. This role is to lead the team driving the development and use of data quality metrics to drive business outcomes across the organisation. Part of the Data Strategy and Governance team, this role will work with the Metadata team and the Governance team to uplift our Data Maturity as part of a broader transformation that is dependent on strong Data and Analytical capability.
To achieve this, you will:
- Manage stakeholder engagement across the organisation, providing education and guidance in the importance of data quality and how to measure it
- Drive the further building of data quality measurement capabilities, ensuring the right tools and systems are in place to support business units in understanding the quality of data they produce and use
- Own the provision and extension of Enterprise level data quality metrics for consumption by senior stakeholders
- Facilitate the right ownership for broad impacting data quality issues
- Lead a small team of Data Quality Analysts
To drive your success in this role, you will demonstrate a strong working knowledge of data management gained from a similar role in a large and complex environment. You will have strong technical skills with demonstrated expertise in using databases/systems to inform business decision making, whilst also having the engagement skillset to provide expert advice and guidance based on your technical knowledge.
