An opportunity is opened in Sydney, for our client’s organization in Australia. Our client is a global pharmaceutical company with long-standing experience in providing solutions and innovations to various human health issues. Our client is looking for a data scientist, with high curiosity and a natural mind, to support their ANZ business. ideally, you are a person who is a comfort to work with various functions across the organization and has a track record of driving business through using data.
Being a data scientist you will have the opportunity to work with various stakeholders, up to the Managing Director level to provide solutions to create innovations and strategic business decisions. To be in this function, you are required to have experience in using data analysis/minding methods, generating and implementing models using algorithms or models, and running simulations to build models for various problems: sampling, customer analysis, survey design, data mining, etc. The role covers ANZ, but you will also have the opportunity to work with data scientists across APAC to support and provide solutions for businesses in APAC.
Your responsibilities will include:
Work closely with various functions to identify business opportunities through data analysis
Prepare and communicate data analysis results for business stakeholders to be able to take business action plans
Ability to understand and extract data as a source of data visualization and modeling
Data management: validating, mining, extracting, merging, and cleaning data

We are looking for a person with:
A postgraduate degree in Statistics, mathematics, computer science, or any other related quantitative field with 3-4 years of experience in a data science or analytics role.
Passional in working with data to support businesses in generating strategic decisions and identifying and implementing new developments in data analysis to support business
Previous experience in creating and using algorithms and statistics, modeling, simulations, and scenario analysis.
Experience using statistical computer languages and advanced analytics toolkits (for example R, NumPy, Matplotlib, Python, SLQ, Tensorflow, Keras etc.) to process raw data and draw insights from large data sets; and implement it in business environments
Experience in using QlikSense, PowerBI and Spotfire;
