Data Scientist
Rubix Solutions is a boutique recruitment company working for some of the biggest blue chip clients globally. Our client, a leading IT consulting outfit are looking to hire a Data Scientist on a permanent basis. This role offers a flexible hybrid model of working and can be a remote role anywhere in Australia, however Sydney or Melbourne is preferred.
Role Brief
- 5-8 years of experience in Data Science with experience working for large enterprises. As this person will be working closely with the Tech and Business teams.
- Build reusable pipeline and model components around the application of advanced analytics (ML / AI / Deep-Learning etc.), to smart factory / Industry 4.0 domain
- Research and build analytical models and experiment with multi-dimensional hypothesis to ensure scalability and actionable insights
- Proactively contribute in developing IoT use cases for industrial customers
- Work closely with multiple stakeholders such as the Product Owner, IoT Leads/Architect (Software/Hardware/Firmware) to constructively build solutions for customers
- Research and deploy data acquisition techniques from various systems (edge/cloud) to optimize business and solution requirements
- Design and execute experiments to test the feasibility of analytics solutions/tech stack options, to solve business problem hypotheses
- Develop data strategy which focus on outcomes and integrations which focus beyond functional requirements
- Benchmark and research industry and business standards, including research publications, social media and the open-source community, to develop models and patterns that can be predictive and prescriptive modelling
Must-Have
- Experience working with time-series data, algorithms and modelling
- Knowledge of the IoT data domain, data management and analysis
- Experience working with the IoT tech stack, including cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and networking technology
- Understanding of Edge, Ultimate-edge, fog and cloud computing paradigms
- Knowledge on various sensor technologies such as PIR, IMU, Time of Flight, Inertial and Pressure sensors
- Experience working on data acquisition, data analytics & modelling on constrained devices
- Hands-on experience running Machine learning algorithms on microcontrollers or resource-constrained compute environments
- Passionate about using data, analytics and maximizing value of IoT data in the product development pipeline
- Ability to carry out field validation studies for deployed devices and models
