Our Client uses Microsoft Dynamics and Appian Platforms to support a number of core business operating systems. These systems include Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Grant Management, My Development Application System (MYDAS2) and e-planning portal.
They are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join them, the successful candidate will:
- be responsible for the management and reporting of data and information
- assist in the support of a number core operating business systems
- perform data migration from legacy systems.
- Manage the implementation of data and database solutions within negotiated timeframes.
- Manage the development of SDLC documentation of data services in accordance with accepted standards, procedures and methodologies.
- Manage and provide Tier 3 support and undertake change management activities associated with the corporate data and database assets.
- Support the server management team in the maintenance of Windows servers.
- Develop reports in: T-SQL; MySQL; SQL Report builder and Power BI.
- Provide expert advice to develop and evolve data practices, data management maturity, perform data migration from legacy systems and the successful implementation of data and database assets by means of management and technical solutions, methods and practices.
- Develop solutions with business representatives and other technical teams to identify, monitor and resolve data practices and data management challenges.
- Actively participate in the identification and management of project related risks and issues.
- Manage and undertake skills transfer and mentorship as required and successfully transition deliverables to internal and external support groups.
- Technical/role specific skills:
- Azure SQL
- SQL Microsoft Server suite of products – all supported versions in Enterprise configuration (2008, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019)
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of monitoring, troubleshooting and diagnosing of SQL server performances, indexes, log shipping and SQL queries for maximum performance and availability
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience with Power BI
- Experience leveraging both structured and unstructured data sources
- Appropriate formal qualifications or extensive experience as a senior system administrator or system analyst that includes responsibilities as a database administrator managing business applications
- Extensive knowledge of advanced Microsoft SQL Server techniques Including but not limited to; T-SQL, Stored Procedures, SQL Server Agent, SSIS and advanced SQL Querying
- 3-5 years of Database Administrator and Systems Analyst roles
- Understanding of ETL and ELT systems, processes, and data modelling methods (desirable)
