Our client is seeking for a Database & Ultracs Administrator to join their team of technical specialists to expand our capacity in the Database Administration area. You will be working closely with our Senior Database & Ultracs.
Administrator to support the critical databases and systems which are relied on every day by our business and our customers. This is a great opportunity to continue building your skills in database management and systems administration.
This role will be collaborating closely with many teams to ensure the databases and Ultracs banking systems are operating reliably and meeting the business requirements.
If you have some experience in working across AIX, Ultracs, UniVerse, Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres and AWS, and want to take these skills to the next level, then this is a role where you can do that by working with a very experienced team.
Key Responsibilities:
Regular database administration tasks across UniVerse, Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres and Redshift Application administration of Ultracs
Investigation of incidents impacting daily operations and monitor the performance of servers and databases, proactively resolving any issues
Assisting with the system administration tasks of the IBM AIX servers used to host Ultracs Sharing knowledge across the team and ensuring system documentation is maintained
Collaborate with the team on support of production environment and ensure incidents are resolved as quickly as possible
Selection Criteria:
A minimum of 4 years' enterprise database administration experience
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Engineering or related disciplines UltraData Ultracs application administration
UniVerse, Microsoft SQL Server and Postrgres database administration IBM AIX, Linux and Windows Server Systems Management
Experience with continuous deployment tools in agile dev environments Proactive approach to systems management and support
Excellent problem solving skills
Very high standard of oral and written communication
