De Watering Technician 

The Nathan River Resources mine site is located 50km inland from the Gulf of Carpentaria and approximately 760km from Darwin, we are the proud owner and operator of the Roper Bar Iron Ore Mine. We take pride in our in-house mine, marine and trans-shipment division, which manages a fleet of mine and marine assets dedicated to our operations.

In this role you will:

• Promote and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day.
• Carry out required in-pit Dewatering Equipment inspections.
• Install, maintain, and repair Dewatering pipework and systems.
• Adhere to work management plans including completing assigned work as per the approved schedule and creating detailed notifications for future work that needs to be completed.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Dewatering Assets and infrastructure.
• Assist the Supervisor in identifying and implementing improvement initiatives that create value to the business from a Dewatering maintenance perspective.
• Ensure area tooling and equipment required for water assets works are in working condition according to the manufacturer's requirements and tested to the site requirements.

FIFO Roster Ex Darwin is 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off. 

Desirable for this position:

• Australian recognized Mechanical or Plumbing Trade Qualifications preferred but not essential.
• Poly welding experience preferred but not essential.
• Exposure working in mining environments with experience in Dewatering considered advantageous.
• Experience working with hydraulics and understanding pump pressures and flows.
• Experience in installation and removal production bores, sump/transfer pumps.
