About the Opportunity

To help us achieve this we are looking for a Debtors Officer - Water who will be responsible for the issuing of sundry debtor and water charges invoices, final notices, water maintenance and arrangement of payment options. To be successful in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Council’s Debtors system and reporting functions; you will have a focus on quality, strong attention to detail, time management skills and a desire to learn.
The Debtors Officer role is an integral part of a team and on a typical day you will:
- Prepare and issue Sundry Debtor Invoices;
- Recover outstanding rates and water charges when they become overdue;
- Complete and send water printouts for the sale of properties;
- Water maintenance within Council’s billing system;
- Provide a backup function to the Water Meter REaders as required;
- Focus on providing excellent customer service.

Remuneration and Benefits
Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent 35 hours per week
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting salary of $1,155.20 per week with the opportunity for competency-based progression.
