AddressEstablished Longline fishing company working in the Australian Fishing Zones seeks experienced fulltime Deck Hands.
This company maintains a drug & alcohol free workplace; employees can be subject to random drug & alcohol testing. This is a condition of employment.
Successful candidates MUST have at least 3 years relevant experience (2 year's experience in fishing & deckhands only) that is able to be reference checked for the position. You need to be strong as the position involves working on a deck, often in heavy seas and sometimes in cramped spaces. Ranked positions may include managing fishing operations aboard your vessel in consultation with the company owners. You will be away from home for several days or weeks.
Normally there is usually a short turnaround before returning to sea. Where you are required to hold a licence or registration, you MUST hold the appropriate tickets or you will not be considered.
For successful candidates, a salary or percentage of catch rate as per industry standards will be negotiated according to qualifications, skills, experience and performance in the same or similar occupation. An annual salary for full time employment will fall in the range of $ 53,900.00 to $60,000.00.
