An opportunity exists to become a member of the D&D Supply Chain team in the role of the Demand Planning Manager. This position will be a part of a professionally run team and is integral to the growth and profitability of the company. The successful applicant will exhibit an awareness of current industry and global logistics trends.
Responsibilities:
- Analysing and management of all activities surrounding the estimating, scheduling, and planning of materials on a global perspective.
- Ability to control and expediate Purchasing and Production Demand/Planning processes.
- Ongoing awareness of competing costs between suppliers.
- Experience in sourcing suppliers and the ability to strategically negotiate pricings.
- Preparation of weekly schedules in regards to production, procurement and suppliers.
- Experience in communicating with other Departments regarding all aspects of production.
- Extensive reporting experience when using the ERP/MRP system.
- Awareness and implementation of changes to ensure a disciplined and safety oriented work environment.
- Commitment to achieving D&D’s sustainability targets.
- Other duties as required.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/ Engineering /Supply Chain Management or APICS, CPIM.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in Demand Planning and procurement, with an emphasis on data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work as a leader and foster an effective and efficient team environment.
- Knowledge and exposure of MRP/ERP Demand Planning systems, Epicor desirable but not essential.
- High level of communication skills.
- Results oriented with strong integrity, and professionalism.
- Ability to adapt to and promote change.
