The role of an orthodontic assistant is to help the patient on their smile journey- taking records (photographs, x-rays - if you have a cert. IV, if not we can work towards it and 3D dental models), assisting the orthodontist and oral health therapists chair side, sterilisation of instruments and re-stocking. All of our staff are multi skilled so there will be some days where you may be required to perform reception or treatment co-ordinator duties, amongst other tasks.
An individual personal professional development plan will be offered once a permanent staff member, taking into account your current skill set and future aspirations. Training will be provided on the job, however experience within the dental industry is desired, particularly experience in a Dental Assistant or treatment co-ordinator role.
No late night or weekend work. 9 day fortnight with RDO alternating Fridays. One job location.
