Dentist - Clinic Manager (Dental Officer Level 2) with Management Allowance

What you’ll do:

You will provide dental care for the community of Cessnock and oversee this 5-chair clinic. All aspects of general dentistry are being offered to our patients in suitable cases. You will help some of our more recent graduates. You’ll be part of a larger team across our district.

You will work with a small team that includes dental assistants and other practitioners. We are a progressive organisation with a team of over 200 people. We are supported by a group of visiting specialists and offer opportunities to be involved in in-house CPD activities and workshops. Your Remuneration:

In addition to a base salary of $129,334 (Year 1) to $136,462 (Year 2) per annum, 10.5% superannuation and 17.5% leave loading are paid on your 4 weeks of annual leave. In addition you will receive the Rural Incentive Allowance of $20,000 per annum and the Dental Officer Management Allowance Level 1 of $7,138.00 per annum. This amounts to a total package of at least $158,208 plus superannuation. Further incentives can include Salary Packaging of $9,009 per annum and a Meal Entertainment Allowance of $2,650 per annum.

Information for Applicants:

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases - this is a Category A position. Please read and understand NSW Health policy directive . All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in the policy.

To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable local candidate is identified for the position; in this instance, you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
