What you'll be doing
Selection Criteria
- A relevant tertiary qualification combined with the relevant training and experience that would allow the applicant to obtain full membership of an Australian professional accounting body eg CPA or Chartered Accountants ANZ, or demonstrated skills and experience in one or more of financial accounting, financial management, analytics or procurement.
- Excellent written skills, including the capacity to write a coherent argument, preferably with experience with writing briefs and government correspondence.
- xperience managing diverse teams across both accounting and non-accounting portfolios, including management of a large and complex finance service, preferably within the public health system, including an understanding of activity-based funding.
- Experience with effecting change reform, including implementation of new systems and policy changes, and providing expert strategic advice and oversight to achieving organisational transformation programs.
- Demonstrated experience applying a sound understanding of the business of Health Services in providing expert advice and strategic leadership to support the achievement of clinical and non-clinical service delivery KPIs within available funding.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, including demonstrated experience with designing and leading staff development and strategic planning activities to engage staff in setting organisational goals and priorities. Ability to present and explain complex ideas and financial policy or reporting requirements to others, who may have little or no financial management training.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted driver's licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
