There is now an exciting opportunity for a Deputy General Counsel to join the in-house team in Hobart.
The Role
Reporting to an impressive General Counsel and Company Secretary, you will be accountable for leading and managing Aurora Energy’s Legal and Procurement team to deliver sound, pragmatic and commercial advice relating to legal requirements, along with accountability for Aurora Energy’s procurement and contract management framework. As Deputy General Counsel you will manage a Senior Corporate Counsel and Corporate Counsel. Your role will include:
- Providing high quality, pragmatic and commercial legal advice on a wide range specific to business requirements and industry needs, including; contract and energy law
- Managing the provision of strategic sourcing and procurement activities and advice to all areas of the company
- Proactive, sound legal advice and support to projects due to have a significant impact on Aurora Energy
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
