Position Information

Ulladulla Public School is located on the South Coast. Ulladulla Public School has 714 students with 11% Aboriginal Background. Ulladulla Public School is a student centered, progress driven school providing a supportive environment where excellence is achievable. We have 5 Support Unit classes consisting of 1 Intellectually Mild (IM) and 4 Multi-Category (MC) classes. and 26 mainstream classes.

Curriculum differentiation and quality teaching practice are readily observable and expected. Selection Criteria

In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary with demonstrated ability to utilise distributive leadership to build the capacity of all staff and aspiring leaders in an environment of trust, risk taking and innovation.

Proven skills, expertise and experience to successfully lead the implementation and evaluation of quality, evidence based initiatives to maximise Literacy and Numeracy outcomes for all students.

Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal, organisational and communication skills to effectively and proactively manage staff and school resources and openly engage with the community.

Outline any specific expertise or experience you would bring to this position, which specifically aligns with the vision, values and goals of Ulladulla Public School.

General Selection Criteria
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
