PBD Architects are a Sydney-based Architectural Studio of 35+ which has an amazing and growing portfolio of innovative design driven projects. We are a firm with a love of quality Residential and Multi-Residential architecture, with a growing base of Commercial and Hospitality projects.
We design as a collaborative office with input welcomed from all levels of our energetic committed team.
The Role
We are currently seeking an ambitious Design Architect with sophisticated conceptual abilities to join our team and work alongside our company Principals as we create projects from initial concept, through design development and delivery.
Key accountabilities of the role are:
- Developing conceptual designs and determining the functional and spatial requirements as per clients brief maximizing potential yields and providing solutions to the team.
- Preparing innovative and appropriate design’s suited to the principal and client brief.
- Facilitating and directing high quality presentations of professional standard to communicate concepts to stakeholders groups.
- Shepherding the design concept through the various planning, approval and documentation phases of a project.
- Assist and contribute to the evolving design strategy of the practice.
- Mentor junior team members on design development and act as a positive role-model to others in support of the team
- Be able to communicate a company design strategy
Who You Are
To be successful in this role, you will need to bring the following skills:
- 6 + years’ of local architectural experience
- Registered Architect in NSW
- Knowledge of the methods and techniques of using 3D design and conceptual tools to create concepts.
- Ability to apply creative and strategic thinking, theory and experience
- Creatively driven with a passion for sustainable forward thinking architecture
- Strong project management skills
- Results driven and have the ability to work under pressure
