- Excellent communications skills and experience in external and internal stakeholder management
- Professional qualifications and experience relevant to design management, architectural or engineering. Chartered status required or ability to obtain.
- Recent Defence project experience in either Design, PMCA or Managing Contractor
- Australian citizenship and holding, or be able to successfully obtain, and retain a minimum Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance
- Develop and support more junior team members

The opportunity
As a Senior Design Manager, your primary focus will be to identify, win and deliver new defence projects across South Australia, while supporting the national design delivery team. This role will appeal to someone who thrives in identifying solutions for our clients, strong stakeholder management and understanding and being accountable for their successful delivery. This includes a strong understanding of commercial and financial success, ensuring contract terms and risk mitigations are put into practice and ensuring projects are sufficiently resourced to deliver success. This is a challenging opportunity to oversee the day-to-day coordination of projects and development and execution of project plans and programming.
