Join our eight-member Design Review Panel and provide input into significant and complex development application proposals in Cockburn.
The City of Cockburn is inviting expressions of interest (EOI) to be part of an eight-member Design Review Panel (DRP).
Panel members will be appointed for a period of two years and will be paid an hourly rate to attend meetings when required.
Responsibilities
Panel members will have input into the design quality of significant and complex development application proposals that will help shape the aesthetics, sustainability, character, safety, and functionality of building infrastructure throughout Cockburn for generations to come.
Panel members will also:
- Attend meetings as required in person or online
- Provide independent expert advice on the design of various development application proposals that meet the criteria outlined in Local Planning Policy No. 5.16
- Peer review major development proposals in accordance with State Planning Policy 7.0 Design of the Built Environment.
- Provide advice on structure plan design/ urban design matters relating to structure plans
- Provide advice on policy formulation relating to design matters
Degree qualified in architecture, landscape architecture or urban design.
Panel members must have:
- Experience with design review
- Skills beneficial to the role
- Familiarity with the Western Australian State and Local Planning Framework.
