Job Description
Brisbane Times is seeking a Designer/Graphic Artist to be a part of Brisbane’s leading digital newsroom as it expands to tell the stories of Australia’s fastest growing and most dynamic region.
The successful candidate will work with newsroom leaders to define and activate the visual style of Brisbane Times.
Day to day, you will:
Create artwork to illustrate stories, including vector and photo illustrations;
Present data in a way that is engaging, easily absorbed and accurately portrayed;
Execute a range of projects simultaneously across digital platforms, including website and social media accounts;
Adhere to brand guidelines and editorial deadlines.
Help us showcase the best of Brisbane and explore the opportunities and challenges for our city as it builds toward the 2032 Olympics!
Qualifications
What we would like to see on your resume:
Previous experience in design / graphic art
Skilled at using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Figma (or Sketch).
Datawrapper and Flourish skills
Knowledge of HTML and CSS, JavaScript, Adobe After Effects, 3D software and Google suite would be an advantage.
