We are seeking an experienced Despatch Team Leader to join our manufacturing team located in Crestmead.
The Despatch Team Leader is a key person in the manufacturing facility and is responsible for providing leadership and discipline to the factory’s Despatch operations and is focused on achieving high levels of productivity and efficiency within a safe working environment.
The Role:
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Despatch Team Leader’s primary focus is to:
- Lead the day-to-day activities of the Despatch team focusing on safety, accuracy of packaging, productivity of loading, QA and general efficiency whilst avoiding damage to stock
- Achieve 100% DIFOT whilst minimising unnecessary reworks
- Provide strong leadership and management to all Despatch employees including on the job coaching as required
- Training of all team members on standard operating procedures to seek continuous improvement in productivity and processes
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team within a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Current Driver’s License
- Current Forklift License
- Current First Aid Certificate (preferred)
