ABOUT THE ROLE
Through a targeted approach, continue to develop the game of Australian Rules through the implementation and execution of AFL programs to gain maximum participation levels at AFL Auskick, Schools, AFL 9s and innovative new offerings across NSW and the ACT. Through best-in-class delivery, ensure the high-quality customer experience across all football and fan engagement programs.?
This is a max term contract position finishing 31 October 2024.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
Key Accountabilities:
- Drive program bookings to achieve aspirational growth targets
- Deliver and run a variety of AFL programs in either school or after-school time. Programs could be school curriculum linked, Auskick, all-abilities or others?
- Ensure each program is delivered in line with the program curriculum and all participants can participate in a safe, friendly & fun environment?
- Drive program bookings to achieve aspirational growth targets
- Liaise with teachers, schools and other program stakeholders?
- Organise AFL player visits and fan engagement opportunities
- Support junior clubs and Auskick centres in relation to recruitment, volunteers, coaching, protocols, promotion and venue hire?
- Conduct promotional activities to meet participant targets e.g. school assemblies and other promotional activities?
- Contribute to key projects within and outside of core role
- Support and contribute to the success of the broader team?
Core Competencies:
- Well-developed verbal and written communication, interpersonal, presentation skills?
- Experience working with children and young people?
- Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work effectively unsupervised?
- Strong organisation and planning skills
- Proven customer service skills, including negotiation abilities
- Satisfactory "Working with Children" check
- Due to the nature of the sporting industry must be willing to work outside normal business hours from time to time, such as evenings and weekends
- Demonstrated ability to relate to and engage diverse communities
