As Development & Integration Manager you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the Application and data integration, custom and low code development and technical operations across BAE Australia. You will be accountable for setting the vision, defining roadmaps and processes, managing budget up to $3M, while working closely with Infrastructure managers to build and maintain a business outcome focused and reliable IT service.
More specifically you will:
- Instill our culture of trust, integrity, safety and growth mindset with the team to ensure an engaged and high performing team
- Lead the team in the delivery of IT services with a strong focus on customer experience and operational efficiency
- Engage with the business and functions and ensure the support, direction and planning of the Integration and development capability is aligned to customer needs
- Manage software, labour and other costs against annual budget targets and ensure performance is regularly communicated with the team and appropriate stakeholders
- Maintain an effective talent management and succession planning process to maximize employee motivation, career growth and business productivity
- Build and maintain the key technology roadmaps extending out to 5 years and assist with strategic planning and implementation
- Provide solution and architectural guidance to the team across the full lifecycle of services and projects, ensuring awareness of industry trends as a critical input
- Ensure coding standards are maintained, support by high quality documentation
- Collaborate with system and data owners to ensure end to end integration and governance is delivered
- Set clear expectations with the team and drive a culture of accountability and high performance, supported by regular feedback with the team
- Ensure the team is working to clearly defined processes, measuring success and through regular review and continuous improvement
- Identify, recommend and implement efficiency saving initiatives through process and practice changes in collaboration
- Engage and partner with vendors to ensure ongoing high quality delivery of cost effective and customer centric services
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:
- Proven experience leading an technical development team covering ITIL service delivery principles, budget management and major Integration solution implementations
- Deep understanding of integration practices and standards such as: API design and management, Master Data Management, data security and governance, Micro-services and interaction with Data warehousing and visualisation
- Exceptional leadership skills including the ability to communicate the vision, develop and motivate teams to deliver services
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, written and interpersonal skills, including an ability to build rapport with key stakeholders, employees at all levels and with external parties
- Prior experience implementing and managing vendors and managed service providers including mobilization of IT outsourcing initiatives

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
