About the role
Drive deeper value relationships and market share through developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of customer’s business and financial service needs.
Develop effective working relationships with Managers, Credit Executives, product partners and other business units to identify opportunities and execute solutions
Ensure quality of portfolio through sound credit assessment, lending decisions and pro-active account management.

Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time

What will your day look like

Your role as a Development Relationship Manager is a relationship focused and customer facing role, which involves managing a portfolio of existing and prospective business banking clients.

You will be responsible for working directly with all stakeholders including Customers, Product Partners, Credit Executives, the Regional Executive and the broader business banking team to tailor appropriate banking solutions, undertake credit assessment, and ensure an optimal 'well managed' portfolio at all times.

It is expected that you will have a clear understanding of the performance history and future plans of each customer on the portfolio.

Tertiary Qualification in a business related field
Strong knowledge of financial statements and credit assessment skills incorporating background of sound business lending for Australian based family owned and Corporate businesses; Demonstrable understanding and structuring of business cash flow and working capital finance needs and expectations and abilities to identify new and cross-sell business
Broad product and specialised financing knowledge to consistently make appropriate recommendations to key business stake holders
Ability to identify key business drivers and mitigate key risks and make recommendations where appropriate
Strong verbal and written communication skills, computer literacy and demonstrated excellent customer focus
The ability to work autonomously; work within teams with proven analytical, negotiation and problem solving skills
Leadership and coaching skills
A passion for working with “mid-market” business
A strong commitment to your own personal development
