DevOps Analyst

  • Role Type: Permanent/Ongoing full-time opportunity
  • Salary: DCS Clerk Grade 7/8, base salary starting at $101,947 - $112,849 plus 10.5% superannuation and leave loading
  • Location: Sydney, flexible working arrangements available

Government Technology Platforms (GTP) is looking for a DevOps Analyst to join their team. In this role, you will assist in supporting the development, deployment and maintenance of automated software and hardware components of the infrastructure and platforms ensuring service level agreements are met.

This role currently reports to the Infrastructure, DevOps & Security Lead.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing the Development Operations and change request process to minimise the risk of service interruptions, identifying opportunities for service and business improvement
  • Identifying & implementing improvements and efficiencies to maximum value from services, including the potential for automation of processes
  • Developing, reviewing and maintaining support documentation for the change management process to minimise the impact of planned changes
  • Integrating and testing components, systems and their interfaces to create operational services, maintaining and monitoring tools to ensure software is configured and working efficiently and to agreed security standards
  • Maintaining and supporting services including the coordination of Business systems for after-hours requests including managing the batch processes ensuring all jobs complete successfully, batch jobs are run at optimum efficiency and follow up on any batch errors
  • Working with business and technology stakeholders to translate user stories and business problems to propose design approaches or services to create specifications and technical designs of systems to meet defined business needs
  • Developing and maintaining customer and stakeholders through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure deliverables are met
About you:
  • Ideally, you should have at least 5 years in-depth experience in infrastructure development and support
  • With relevant certifications related infrastructure (network, server and storage) and service management such as ITIL
  • Exposure to microservices and API integration
  • Ability to stand pressure in dealing with multiple changing priorities
  • Demonstrable advanced knowledge using current relevant technologies
  • Great team player and quick learner
