THE OPPORTUNITY
 
NRI ANZ is seeking a dynamic and experienced DevSecOps Team Leader to join our team in Adelaide for a high-profile client engagement. The successful candidate will lead our DevSecOps efforts, ensuring the seamless integration of development, security, and operations practices. This role requires a unique blend of tactical and strategic skills to drive efficiency, maintain security standards, and foster innovation within our team.
 
Technical Skills:
  1. Proficiency in Linux (MUST HAVE).
  2. Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible (MUST HAVE).
  3. Knowledge of Kubernetes (MUST HAVE).
  4. Familiarity with DevSecOps tools including GitLab, SonarQube, and the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Service Desk, Confluence, Artifactory, or similar).
  5. Background in software engineering with an understanding of basic software engineering processes.
  6. Basic network diagnostic skills.
  7. Experience with identity management tools such as Active Directory and Keycloak.
  8. Hands-on experience with Azure (VM, VNet, subnet, ARM templates) is highly desirable.
  9. VMware experience is highly desirable.
  10. Demonstrable commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Strategic Duties:
  1. Act as the product owner, representing the team in SAFe ceremonies.
  2. Develop a suite of developer platforms aimed at accelerating software development.
  3. Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with all stakeholders.
  4. Analyze the current state, define the ideal target state, and plan the transition accordingly.
  5. Identify patterns in work types to develop and implement automation strategies.
  6. Ensure all documentation and playbooks are current and continuously improved.
  7. Collaborate with the Cyber team to create necessary evidence and documentation for cyber assurance.
  8. Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.
  9. Generate and present reports with metrics that provide insight into the team’s operational performance.
  10. Conduct internal and external demonstrations of new features and improvements.
