The Role:
The DevOps Engineering Manager reports directly to the Head of Cloud Services sitting within the Hyperscaler Cloud Services team. This role will be a team management heavy position, managing a team of 20 Cloud & DevOps Engineers across ANZ Region. In this role you’ll be providing escalation and managerial support to
DevOps Engineering team members and customers.
You are leading a team that designs, deploys, and supports technical solutions to support our customers and their business strategies, by leveraging innovative cloud solutions and DevOps practices. This covers the design and build of complex infrastructure, operational processes, infrastructure automation, creating and improving development and operational capabilities, including disaster recovery, high systems availability, on-demand scalable solutions, infrastructure monitoring
and continuous deployment capabilities

Lead a community of DevOps Engineers and Hyperscale Specialists to ensure that everyone understands what is required of them (e.g., utilisation, customer service, technical excellence etc.) and where they fit in.
Direct, guide, and motivate the team in the achievement of agreed goals, strategies and
Develop and maintain professional development plans for all team members.
Provide technical expertise, working across a multitude of cloud infrastructure, security, systems and application platforms to plan, install, configure and support customer environments.
Implement AWS/Azure cloud infrastructure, systems and application solutions and services with focus on CI/CD and automation tasks to treat Infrastructure as Code.
Manage tools like JIRA and Git workflows according to best practices.
Prepare relevant handover documentation needed for transition into ongoing support (where required).
Champion a “shift left” approach for support, underpinned by automation, runbooks, Standard
Your Experience:
Demonstrated experience in developing and sustaining constructive relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry representatives at all levels
Demonstrated experience managing budgets and managing a P&L
Proven experience managing multiple tasks in a busy environment and working under stress in emergencies, and demonstrating flexibility to handle pressure coming from all directions simultaneously
Demonstrated experience managing and leading people, including selecting, developing and coaching employees, linking individual performance and development objectives to team and company objectives, and addressing performance issues in a timely manner
Demonstrated experience in delivering service above and beyond
expectation, continuous improvement and ethical business practices
