What you'll be doing
This role will work with Radiation Oncology management to develop and deliver an efficient MRI service for patients undergoing radiation therapy, provide education and training, and MRI safety oversight to the Radiation Oncology Department, as well as participate actively in research and development in MRI specific to radiation oncology.
The senior MRI Radiographer, in conjunction with the Radiation Therapists will manage the daily duties of the modality such as overseeing workflow and examination prioritisation.
The senior MRI Radiographer will be responsible for maintaining and improving quality and safety of the MRI service within Radiation Oncology and will supervise and train staff within the modality.
This role will also work closely with Radiology management to ensure an effective and efficient MRI service is provided.

Essential Criteria
Licence: NSW EPA Radiation Licence IA14
Qualification: Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
Registration: Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria
Post Graduate qualification, specialising in MRI with demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience with all aspects of clinical and research MRI.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a patient focused multidisciplinary team utilising effective clinical and non-clinical communication through the use of information technology, written and verbal skills.
Demonstrated ability to solve clinical situations and to develop effective solutions.
Able to manage competing demands in a clinical setting and possesses strong time management qualities.
Demonstrated understanding of auditing processes and able to present and utilise this information for the development and education of staff and students.
Demonstrated experience at developing, presenting and managing educational and learning packages for the staff of the department and visiting university students, as well as an emphasis on orientating, teaching and mentoring within the clinical setting.
Demonstrated experience in establishing and managing quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives.
Demonstrated focus on safety and quality in MRI.
