Our Design team is now seeking a Digital Accessibility Engineer to join their team.About the roleAs a Digital Accessibility Engineer you will be contributing towards the accessibility strategy, accessibility compliance, usability and business needs to deliver engaging and inclusive digital experiences for Coles.About you and your skillsYou are an Accessibility expert or engineer with experience resolving accessibility issues, writing requirements, reviewing test cases and prioritising defects.You are experienced in supporting digital channels in large, complex organisations requiring stakeholder management.Your skills
- Perform accessibility evaluations of web pages, mobile apps, and other digital platforms.
- Experience using and testing with assistive technology tools e.g. JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack, Dragon etc.
- A detailed understanding of the Digital Accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.2)
- Ability to include detailed accessibility requirements in user stories.
- Proficiency in front-end development technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA.
- Capable of working collaboratively in agile teams with designers, product owners developers and testers.
- Case studies demonstrating accessible designs.
- Highly collaborative style, able to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders to meet targets.
- Effectively balances commercial and customer needs
- Exceptional stakeholder management, collaboration and communication skills
