Job description

Are you a digital storytelling expert, skilled at blending narrative with technology? Bundanon seeks a visionary Digital Communications Manager to craft captivating digital experiences.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Digital Communications Manager is focused on coordinating Bundanon’s Digital Communications strategies; producing bespoke digital creative content that tells the unique stories of the organisation; managing Bundanon’s digital platforms; and conducting extensive reporting and data analysis to improve effectiveness. This position will also be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and performance of the Bundanon website, ensuring it meets the growing needs of the organisation. The Digital Communications Manager will drive digital storytelling initiatives, coordinating the development of bespoke digital content that increases visibility of Bundanon’s diverse programs and initiatives. In essence, the Digital Communications Manager plays a key role in ensuring the success of Bundanon by managing effective digital strategies, producing compelling digital content, maintaining and optimising digital activity, and providing valuable insights through comprehensive analysis.

The establishment of Bundanon represents one of the most significant acts of philanthropy in the history of the arts in Australia. Arthur and Yvonne Boyd’s gift of Bundanon in 1993 was driven by a big vision, which has been built upon by subsequent acts of private generosity and government support, creating the cultural institution for artistic enjoyment and learning that thrives today in the Shoalhaven.

Our Mission - To operate the Bundanon properties as a centre for education, and for the development and display of practice in the creative arts across all forms, and in the natural and environmental sciences; to enable public access to the arts, landscape and associated narratives.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Communications

  • Develop and coordinate Bundanon’s Digital Communications Strategy, in alignment with Bundanon’s overarching Marketing and Communications Strategy
  • Execute comprehensive marketing research to continually enhance Bundanon's digital presence across digital platforms
  • Maintain an extensive digital marketing schedule of activities across platforms, including social media, eDM, and website
  • Craft and analyse regular in-depth reports to illustrate the performance metrics of all digital campaigns and initiatives.

Digital Content Management

  • Lead and direct the production of Bundanon’s digital content, shaping Bundanon’s identity through creative storytelling.
  • Manage relationships with external content creator teams, including photographers and videographers – coordinating the end-to-end production of these multi-media projects.
  • Manage and continuously refresh Bundanon’s website content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with established branding.
  • Strategise and implement content initiatives for social media and EDM campaigns to optimise engagement and effectiveness.
  • Ensure the maintenance of content quality by adhering to branding guidelines and tone of voice principles.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Continuously monitor the website to ensure optimum performance
  • Produce and analyse digital reports to derive valuable insights.
  • Make data informed suggestions to inform decision-making.
  • Regularly develop and conduct post-campaign analysis reports and providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Deliver in-depth audience and consumer analysis reports through comprehensive research, and effectively communicating actionable insights.

Stakeholder and Project Management

  • Drive consistent, on-brand messaging and written communications across channels, targeted at diverse audiences.
  • Seek to understand all stakeholders (internal and external) needs and wants.
  • Define requirements and translate into assets.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ensure all deliverables are executed in line with expectations.
  • Undertake proofing and approvals for accuracy and compliance.
  • Drive improvements to design activity through continuous learning.

People and Culture

SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

  • Relevant qualifications or equivalent professional experience in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related fields.
  • Extensive experience in a marketing or Digital Communications role or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing digital communication strategies.
  • Proven ability in producing compelling digital content through creative storytelling.
  • Strong skills in analyzing data to assess campaign effectiveness.
  • Experience in leading diverse creative projects with multiple stakeholders.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the Australian cultural sector
  • Knowledge of the latest digital marketing tools and platforms, content management systems, and analytics software
  • Proficient in effectively managing a digital marketing schedule of activities across multiple platforms.

REQUIREMENTS 

All Bundanon employees are required to obtain: 

• Current Working with Children Check. 

• National Police Check. 

• A current driver's license.
