Digital Communications Officer

Location - Strawberry Hill

Employment type - Ongoing, Full time

Salary - Clerk Grade 7/8, Salary ($99,431 pa - $110,062), plus employer's contribution to superannuation

About the Office the Advocate Children and Young People (ACYP)

The Advocate works to improve the safety, welfare and wellbeing of all children and young people in NSW. The Office of the Advocate speaks up for children and young people to ensure that their rights are respected, and their points of view heard by adult decision makers. The Office of the Advocate engages with the children and young people of NSW and listen to their feedback and input.

Your role

The Digital Communications Officer provides support, problem solving, content management, compliance and reporting for ACYP's digital products including websites, CRM systems and Intranet social channels to meet the needs of user, business and legal requirements.

What you'll do

As part of the ACYP team you will have responsibility for driving positive digital communications with key stakeholders and provide innovative solutions to increase opportunities for engagement with children and young people.

You will also

  • Manage or participate in a range of internal projects on behalf of and in conjunction with subject matter experts and content owners throughout the agency, including content management, production and publishing.
  • Undertake analysis, prepare reports, and make recommendations to improve performance of the agency's digital products and enhance user experience and implement the necessary changes.
  • Implement ongoing improvements to the agency's digital products including content design, navigation, tools and other functionalities to enhance user experience.
  • Ensure that the agency's digital products including websites, a CRM system and social channels comply with government policies and standards, security, accessibility, usability and branding requirements.
  • Support the creation and implementation of the agency's social media plan in collaboration with management and communications.
  • Build strong working relationships and share information with team members to keep abreast of initiatives and priorities and contribute to ensuring that information published on ACYP's social channels, stakeholder EDM's and the website is clear, consistent, timely, accurate and reliable.

What we're looking for

Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing a range of digital communications products including intranet and internet websites and social channels. in a large and complex organisation.

Demonstrated experience in content management and production with industry-standard content management systems.

Demonstrated understanding of the regulatory environment for government digital communications, including security, accessibility, usability, compliance with legislative requirements, brand management and procurement.

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
