Gold Coast Longboards is a lifestyle skateboard brand, inspired by travel, nature & the Gold Coast way of life. We specialise in Longboards, Cruisers, Surf Skates and an apparel range to compliment our brand. We are a small business based in Mermaid Waters on the Gold Coast
As a small business, we are looking for someone who is creative, has impeccable attention to detail and an eye for design, personable, flexible with working hours, driven and efficient.
We are looking for someone who identifies with our brand & industry & is passionate about the skating & surfing culture and everything the Gold Coast has to offer.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- You have a great understanding of how to captivate an audience in 2022, you are passionate, fun & creative with fresh and innovative ideas that are on or ahead of the trend.
- Your background is in digital content creation, including photography, videography, graphic design
- You will develop, implement and execute the strategic marketing plan across all platforms to drive brand awareness, build our customer base and increase sales, focusing on engaging, educating and inspiring our target audience with fresh ideas and new concepts
- You will develop and maintain a content calendar for the co ordination of digital marketing strategies (eg. Website, blogs, social media channels and videos) that drive traffic and grow engagement and revenue whilst always staying true to our brand
- Your graphics and shoots should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this you need to have a creative flair and strong ability to translate requirements into design.
- You have had experience and success with organic and paid digital marketing platforms; Shopify, Klaviyo, Facebook/Instagram & Google
- You are competent with graphic design and video editing to aid with efficient content creation
- You have great understanding of Branding, Copywriting and content creation and know your social media inside out and are happy to work across, Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok and Pinterest.
- You have an interest in the Skate, Surf culture and Gold Coast lifestyle to understand our branding and target market
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Essential knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing/Communications or a related field
- Experience in Photography/ graphic design/ Web design/ shopify
- Exceptional knowledge and proven results in content creation and experience working across various social platforms
- Passion for knowledge of social media platforms, with experience creating content for social channels including, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Tik Tok etc.
- Experience with B2C social media, Google AdWords, email campaigns and performance marketing.
- Proven track record of successfully developing or implementing best practise social media management strategies and campaigns
- Excellent Google Analytics experience
- Extensive experience across paid and organic social media channels.
- Proven experience managing and updating Shopify based websites.
- Organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.

THE ROLE
The focus of our Digital Marketing Manager role is to build our company brand and be responsible for the conceptualisation, campaign creation and management of effective and digital and e commerce marketing strategies.
We require an all rounder suited to a small team who can hit the ground running and bring exciting ideas and input to the role.
As an expert in your field we expect you you keep up to date with the ever-changing algorithms, trends and everything else E-Commence to to be able to achieve the following work efficiently with high end attention to detail and creativity.
The roll consists of but is not limited to:
- Develop, Manage and maintain marketing strategy & calendar
- Conceptualise fresh and innovative digital marketing strategies
- Use social media marketing tools to grow the company’s brand, social presence and customer awareness
- Facebook & Google Ads
- Track and report performance of campaigns
- Content creation for online and social media Creating Reels, Tiktok’s, Graphics and Posts to increase brand awareness and engagement
- Social media planning and post scheduling
- Weekly emails via Klaviyo
- Find, communicate and negotiate with social media influencers and cross collaboration opportunities with other businesses
- Shopify website landing page management, and search engine optimisation and blogs
- Film & Video Editing
- Photography & Photo Retouching / editing
- Develop digital and print marketing artwork
- Creation of asset catalogues
- Ensure all creative is consistent with brand direction, including fonts, layouts etc.
Website, landing page and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
As our digital marketing specialist we will work closely with you and encourage you to think outside the box, try new things, show initiative and come up with new and exciting ways to market our brand.
The role is 20 hour per week part-time role with flexibility around your schedule with the opportunity to go full time. This position requires you to be based on the Gold Coast and enables you to work from home. You will require a drivers licence and a vehicle to attend scheduled meetings with us in person and be available to collect products for content creation.
