Role Purpose: As the Online Community Connector & Digital Creator, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and managing strategies to promote 'Becoming U' initiatives. Your responsibilities include creating compelling content across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and our website. You will also schedule social media posts, manage website content (experience with WordPress is a must), and grow online communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging digital strategies across multiple platforms.
- Schedule social media content, both paid and organic.
- Create and manage website content, with proficiency in WordPress.
- Establish and grow online communities aligned with place-based projects.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to refine and focus our messaging.
- Stay updated on industry trends and make recommendations for optimizing performance.
- Understand target demographics to ensure appropriate messaging and content.
- Adhere to organisational standards for effective communication and promotion.
- Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, media, or a related discipline, and/or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- One or more years' experience in Digital Media communications.
- Proven experience in leading social marketing campaigns and community engagement methodologies.
- Demonstrated success in developing marketing and communication strategies.
- Track record in building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe Creative Suite, web-based applications).
- Strong commitment to community-owned decision-making and social justice.
- Ability to connect with young people and those important to them.
- Previous experience in community-based grassroots marketing and Communications.
- Worked with Aboriginal and CALD communities in a culturally safe manner.
- Understanding of place-based work.
