Hiring Manager: Kent Ford

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Digital Precision Ag Specialist with a strong background in Precision Agriculture or Digital Product Management to join our Sales & Marketing team. 
Reporting to the Division Business Manager and working closely with our Dealers, you will be responsible for increasing customer engagement with our suite of digital tools through promotion and demonstration of economic and agronomic benefits they provide. 

This field-based role is responsible for Division 2 of John Deere Au/NZ, and you can be based either in Western Australia, South Australia, or New South Wales. Frequent travel throughout these regions will be required to be successful in this role.
 

Further responsibilities included, but not limited to.
•    Ownership of the Promotion and Demonstration of the John Deere Digital Eco System to facilitate Digital tool adoption growth.
•    Working with development teams overseas on local needs and requirements for our digital suite of tools.
•    Responsible for aligning John Deere digital tools and at Industry and Dealer Events.
•    Management of Dealer Training as it relates to John Deere Operations Center and digital tools.
•    Develop and design material for customer and dealer clinics to grow knowledge and assist with the agronomic and economic value understanding of the John Deere digital tool ecosystem.
•    Responsible for creating a value proposition to facilitate and enable John Deere Operations Centre utilisation growth.
•    Partner with National Accounts to work with corporate customers to demonstrate our digital tools and build knowledge and understanding.
•    Responsible for the API partnership development into John Deere Operations Center.

*You will be provided with a fully maintained tool of trade vehicle for use in accordance with the Company Car Policy.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring forward demonstrated experience as an expert in Precision Ag with sound knowledge of Agronomy and farming practices. Your background may include working for an AG retailer, a university/research group, a farm/farm Business Management consultant, or equivalent relevant experience. Experience with farm management information systems or GIS software would also be beneficial.

You will also possess the following skills and/or attributes:

•    Passion for agriculture and sustainable agriculture
•    Strong commercial & analytical skills
•    Compelling and collaborative communication style to influence others, including senior management and key stakeholders.
•    An ability to build and foster strong professional relationships. 
•    An inner drive to partner with our Dealers and guide/ train them on our digital tools and precision Ag technology
•    Be willing to learn and adopt cutting edge technologies and methodologies related to precision agriculture. 
•    A High level of attention to detail.
•    An ability to work autonomously but as part of our energetic team. 
•    Have an enthusiastic and professional can-do attitude.
