The Role
As a member of our Digital Science Futures team, you will provide vital research skills, to assist in finding areas for Defence investment over the 3, 5 and 10 year horizons.

By also understanding the current landscape, including its pain points and opportunities for improvement, you are able to assist in finding the areas with the more urgent need for attention. It is these capabilities that underpin scientific research and technology and shapes and drives its strategic direction.

Within this role, you will manage sensitive and complex issues which will require you to engage with a broad range of stakeholders to furnish solutions which are pragmatic and meet the distinctive needs of your stakeholders. As an inclusive leader you will build strong connections with your team who deliver the business functions.

About our Team
Digital Science Futures is responsible for establishing and maintaining Research Architecture and Design Capabilities, aligning DST Architecture with the FPR and One Defence principles, deliver FSRA Architecture stack for target architecture – using both bottom-up and top-down development approaches using TOGAF, DODAF and CAUDIT.

The directorate supports and monitors development of Agile Research Environment for implementation to deliver science focused Research Services, assessing technology trends and maintain target architecture currency as technology evolves, developing roadmaps comprised of projects showing an outline of how to deliver the target architecture.
