Job description

Position Information

The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW students from early childhood to secondary school, delivering world-class education through its public schools and providing funding support to non-government schools. We employ, develop and support teachers, leaders and other staff to deliver the best outcomes for students and to advance the wellbeing of Aboriginal people.

About the Role

To be successful in the role you will need to have the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and have good communication skills to enable you to work effectively with others. Within this role, you will work independently and within a team environment.

You will perform a range of tasks in the dining room including: setting up tables, clearing and carrying used dishes / cutlery from the dining room to the kitchen, and washing up crockery and cutlery at the conclusion of the meal. You will undertake a range of general cleaning tasks to maintain the dining room and related areas in accordance with prescribed procedures and standards. You will be conscious at all times of complying with Food Safety & Hygiene requirements, including specific dietary requirements of individual students with allergies and food intolerances. Other related duties of the role, within the skills and competencies of the Dining Room Attendant, as directed by the Principal or delegate.
