Diploma Educator at Neangar Kindergarten: 19.13 hours hours per week (Monday and Wednesday Sessions 8.00-4.30). 2.13 hours non-contact on Tuesday. Fixed Term (12-months) - (VECTEA 2020).
Diploma Educator Breaks Cover (Permanent Ongoing):
We are seeking qualified Diploma Educators for breaks cover at our sessional kindergartens. Breaks cover is scheduled between 10.30am to 2.00pm. Multiple breaks shifts can be be combined with paid travel between services.
- Neangar Kindergarten - Monday 1.50 hours
- Epsom Kindergarten - Friday 1.50 hours
- Kangaroo Flat Kindergarten - Friday 1.50 hours
- Spring Gully Kindergarten - Wednesday 1.50 hours
- White Hills Kindergarten - Thursday 1.50 hours

Shine Bright EYM core purpose is to foster a healthy and active early childhood community working together to provide quality education and care for young children. Each kindergarten has an Educational Leader supported by a team comprised of Bachelor, Diploma and/or Certificate 3 Qualified Staff. We also have a designated Early Years Advisor (Bachelor Trained and Experienced) for each kindergarten who actively supports the staff through regular visits.

About the role:
A permanent relief educator’s primary function is to support services by filling relief positions across all services in their region. This position is a Shine Bright EYM initiative to ensure support to our services and the prevention of closures, whereby the permanent relief educator will be directed to the role of most need. Where no relief is booked on their days of work, the permanent relief educator will provide additional support to their homebase kindergarten (above ratio). As a Diploma Educator the permanent reliever will provide quality education and care to children and supports learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework.
About you:
The successful candidate will be a qualified Early Childhood Educator with a passion to educate children and work in a collaborative manner with their colleagues. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their professionalism, flexibility, leadership, ability to work with others and to foreground First Nations perspectives in their pedagogy and practice.
- Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
- Current Victorian Working with Children Check
- Experience working with children essential.
- Experience working in kindergarten settings desirable.
- This role requires travel across the region.
