Job description

Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Allied Health leader ready to join the team at the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) and Perth Children’s Hospital & Neonatology (PCHN)? If so, then this is the pinnacle you’ve been waiting for. Reporting directly to both the Chief Executive, CAHS and the Executive Director, PCHN this senior Allied Health role leads and provides strategic direction for allied health professionals across CAHS. The role is responsible for providing advice on patient care, priorities and workforce models as well as managing the operations of allied health services across PCHN. Representation on behalf of CAHS and PCHN on matters relating to whole of health service planning, delivery and reform is also an important element of the role.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the services are sustainable, provided within budget, and are underpinned by the principles of best practice. They will also support ongoing service enhancement and innovation, while promoting and facilitating integration across the care continuum.

The position requires a proven track record in professional leadership at a senior level, as well as evidenced experience in the management of clinical services in a large complex acute healthcare setting; and demonstration of where you have successfully achieved high-quality patient outcomes and operational efficiency. You will also possess exceptional stakeholder management capability across a diverse range of people and excellent communication and negotiation skills; and a strong ability to effectively collaborate with executive and management teams across the Health Service.

About Directorate:

Allied Health Services at CAHS & PCHN is all about Paediatric & Neonatology and across all Allied Health specialties. We are a team of approximately 570 and many of our team are involved in various innovation & research projects. In partnership with other professional groups, Allied Health services play a key role in care planning, multidisciplinary teamwork & discharge planning for all children we care for at PCHN. As the only tertiary Paediatric hospital in Western Australia, PCHN offers a variety of state & tertiary level services to grow your experience.
