The Arts and Culture Trust (ACT) is embarking on a transformative journey in the realm of contract management, and we are seeking a dynamic and visionary Contracts Director to lead the charge. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will assume a pivotal role in driving the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to optimise contractual processes and outcomes.

As the Contracts Director, you will oversee all facets of contract administration, leveraging your expertise to introduce innovative practices and drive continuous improvement. Your primary focus will be on the management of the Operator Agreement for the new $233.5 million Screen Production Facility currently under construction in Malaga as well as other key partnerships in place across the ACT's portfolio of assets. This role presents an ideal opportunity for seasoned professionals in contract management to elevate their careers, as well as for individuals with diverse backgrounds who bring fresh perspectives and a passion for excellence.

Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience in complex contract development and management of high value assets and a proven capacity to build highly productive partner relationships. High level financial management and business acumen are essential. Knowledge of the creative and performance arts and the venue industry are highly desirable for this role.

In this strategic leadership position, you will:

  • Define and implement comprehensive contract management strategies aligned with Arts and Culture Trust organisational objectives.
  • Oversee the end-to-end contract lifecycle, from negotiation and execution to performance monitoring and renewal.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise contract processes and maximise value.
  • Provide guidance and direction to internal stakeholders on complex contractual matters, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Implementing strategies to enhance the functionality and sustainability of places and spaces engaged by Arts and Culture Trust through effective contract management practices.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with suppliers and partners to enhance contract outcomes and drive strategic partnerships.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of contract management within Arts and Culture Trust while contributing to the organisation's broader strategic goals.

We currently have one full-time permanent position available, with flexibility in work arrangements considered.
